Privacy Policy

Short version: your data is used to run Woofit, nothing else. No ads, no data sales, no third-party trackers, no analytics on this website.

1. Data controller

Brice Mourlon, sole proprietor registered in France. For any question or request about your data: hello@woofit.me.

2. Data we process

  • Account and authentication: email address and authentication credentials.
  • Dog profile: name, breed, photo, and the generated avatar derived from it.
  • Walks: GPS route, distance, duration, timestamps.
  • Location during a walk: collected only while a walk is running.
  • Memories: the photos you choose to attach to a walk.
  • Progress: XP, levels, ranks, consecutive days, quests, badges, Bones.
  • Purchases: Woofit+ entitlement status received from Apple / StoreKit. We never receive your payment card details.
  • Technical: error logs and minimal device information needed to fix crashes.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Providing the service and syncing your data across your devices (performance of contract); securing, fixing and improving the app (legitimate interest); notifications, photo library access and precise location (consent, which you can withdraw at any time in iOS Settings).

4. Infrastructure and where your data lives

App data (account, dog profile, walks, memories, progress) is stored with Supabase for database, authentication and file storage, on servers located in the European Union. This website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias, Geneva, Switzerland. Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not sell your data, we show no ads and we use no third-party trackers.

5. Location and health data

Location is used only during an active walk, never in the background outside a walk. If you enable Apple Health sync, that data stays in HealthKit under Apple's rules and is not sent to our servers.

6. Retention

Your data is kept while your account is active. Deleting your account (in the app, Profile › Settings › Delete my account, or by email) erases your account, walks, memories and progress within 30 days, except where the law requires longer retention.

7. Your rights in the EU, EEA and UK

Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@woofit.me to exercise them. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr) or your local supervisory authority.

8. United States residents

Depending on your state's law (including the California CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to know, correct and delete personal information about you, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Woofit does not sell or share your personal information within the meaning of those laws, and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Requests: hello@woofit.me. Your app data is hosted in the European Union.

9. Children

Woofit is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Cookies

This website sets no advertising cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers. No cookie is required to browse it.
